well if you request a lock on the forum, theyll say "no we shouldn't lock it" and it just gets worse.
if you want to request a lock, PM a mod, but if it's borderline then don't. never, ever post in a spam thread.
I once got a 2 hour ban for using the term Sonic Fag. What's the point of a ban that short?
Actually, you weren't banned specifically; everyone who posted was banned. The reason for the ban is an auto-response, whereas a mod would have left you a message if you'd been banned for backseat modding or whatnot.
The mods have several options for dealing with threads. They can delete individual posts, ban individual users, delete entire threads...or "destroy" a thread, deleting it and bans are automatically given to those who posted in it.
Destroying tends to only happen to obvious spam threads, which you should avoid posting in entirely, even to tell people that they're being stupid. Just let the thread sink to the bottom of the BBS and disappear next time.
